About Us

Know About Mt. Kenya coffee growers and exporters & Our History

Mt Kenya coffee growers and exporters ltd is a private entity that deals with the growing of specialty coffees and processing the same for export purporpes. We have our own pulping station where we remove the red cover of the harvested berries, grade and dry them before milling and exporting.

We decided on setting up our own pulping station because of experiencing a lot of inefficiency in our traditional coffee co-operative processing and marketing methods. This is where the co-operators would pull their coffee together for pulping and marketing purpose. At times, this method was inefficient plus the farmers never got value for their sweat since the top grade coffees are mixed together while pulping and poor grading system.

Our vision

Our vision is to grow quality Specialty Coffee, build our coffee brand internationally, and bring on board as many farmers as possible to be part of our dream. Through growing and exporting quality specialty coffee, we hope that we shall improve the livelihood of all our farmers through expected good coffee prices. It also our target to export one forty foot Specialty Coffees container to buyers each year and improving on volume yearly
